Some people think that it is better to educate boys and girls in separate schools. Others, however believe that boys and girls benefit more from attending mixed schools. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.
According to few people, schools should be separate for boys and girls, whereas others think that co-educational system is much beneficial for them. In my opinion, it is better to send boys and girls in the same school.
There are many reasons to send a child in co-educational school. Firstly, no gender discrimination takes place in such school. Both boys and girls receive an equal level of opportunities. The child is taught the importance of equality. Moreover, students get to learn cooperation with each other. This skill develops the value of sharing which is extremely crucial for their future. For instance, in the corporate world, both men and women work together and if a child used to learn in a unisexual environment, he will easily get adjusted there.
On the other hand, separate schools for children as per their gender has its own reason. Parents feel that these schools can help their children focus more on studies. Sometimes, friendship among boys and girls could easily distract them from their academics. Therefore, in order to secure good results, parents enroll their children in separate schools.
Having said that, I personally do not feel that this can be true entirely. When boys and girls study together, they can learn to respect the front person irrespective of their gender. Since it is a crucial learning, they should adopt it from an early age.
In conclusion, I do not see any good reason to choose separate schools over the co-educated one. Students adopt lifelong skills like respecting and cooperating so it is the best option to select.
